Comment: My new husband and I were lucky enough to have the choir perform at our church wedding on Sat 29th Aug. They gave a wonderful performance that made the ceremony extra special, all of our guests were wowed by the fantastic sound that they produced and my new in laws particularly loved the African Trilogy! Friends and family were talking about the Phoenix all day and the choir might even have a couple of new recruits as a result!! Thank you so much to Sian and all of the boys. Comment: We were privileged to hear the choir perform at our friends' wedding on 23rd July in Llanelli. It was wonderful, my English husband had never heard a Welsh Male voice choir before, and was stunned into silence, now he can't stop praising the performance to everyone!! Thank you for a magical event.

Comment: I would like to add my congratulations to the choir for a thoroughly entertaining concert (Taliesen, 21st June). I felt obliged to go to support my dad (what with it being Father's day!!)and how very glad I am that I did. I was rooted to my seat from start to finish and have never sat through a concert where time has flown so quickly. I was sat next to 2 ladies who had no connection with the choir, and they expressed to me how much they too had enjoyed it and to pass on the congratulations! Long may you continue to thrive.

Comment: What a wonderful evening's entertainment, we had two people from Jamaica with us. They were so overwhelmed with the singing; they told us that the hairs on the back of their necks were tingling. What wonderful singing.

Comment: Sian always states that you are there to entertain. Last night at the Taliesin, you did that and more. Our daughter Bron, her partner and I were astounded at the progress that has been made in performance and sound that you boys produced. This of course, is because of Sian's vision and direction. I could shower you with copious adjectives to praise your performance. What I will say, is that last night you all filled me with joy, which has lasted through to today. That is praise indeed.

Comment: What a fabulous evening! I had the great pleasure of attending your performance at Swansea's Taliesin Theatre yesterday evening (21stJuly)and felt that I just had to post a comment on your website as I enjoyed it so much. The commitment enthusiasm and obvious downright enjoyment of all the choir members came over in bucket loads and as musical director and compere Sian Pearce was staggering. I also thought that the accompanying Trio were a wonderful contrast to the choirs performance and were brilliant in their own right. A fantastic all round evening’s entertainment, and I must say Sian your sparkle alone made my evening. Well done to you all. Cannot wait for the CD.

Comment: A wonderful concert last night at The Taliesin. What a refreshing and innovative choir who are led by a vibrant and enthusiastic lady. The repertoire was excellent and coupled with the exciting Laura Collins Trio made a brilliant evening's entertainment. Long may you continue to entertain us with your new approach to male voice singing.

Sian, you have worked so hard and with such enthusiasm to get this choir to an incredibly high standard already. Well done! Comment: What an amazing choir! It's wonderful to see a choir with such a forward-thinking approach. Have heard you're starting a youth choir; may I wish you the same success with that as you are achieving in the male voice choir scene. Keep singing the modern songs!

Comment: A big thanks for the concert at St Benedicts on the 17th April. As one of Wills best friends i think he would of been so proud of you all. You were amazing. The hair on the back of my head kept standing on end. Great songs both young and old were all sung with such passion, from the heart, and so so enjoyable. You totally deserved the standing ovation. Theres a member of the bass section in the celestial choir with tears in his eyes saying thanks for a great concert and for all the happy times you had together. Robin

Comment: Dear Sir/madam I have just sent this to the South Wales Evening Post & I would like you to read it First. Than you. Dear Sir Last night I went to an excellent show at the St Benedict's Church, Sketty. I can't praise or say how fantasic the show was included in the show was two jazz player who was fantasic & an opera singer who again was fantastic, the Choir sang a Robbie Williams number Angels & in fact it was sang better by the Phoenix. They don't only sing the old traditional welsh songs but also modern songs too which is most enjoyable. They are now two years old & I can see then going on for a long time I just can't wait for their first CD & I heard that they are going to start recording it in June or July I can't wait. they are only a small Choir but they are getting bigger & I want to wish them the best of luck for the future. Please can you print this in your newspaper, Thank you. John Douglas

Comment: It gives me great pleasure once again in thanking Sian Pearce, Richard John and the Morriston Phoenix Choir for an evening of musical delight. The whole evening was full of sensational singing from the choir themselves, as well as other supporting acts. The hall was packed with happy faces while they sat and watched upon these superb voices. The atmosphere was electric throughout, only to finish once again with a standing ovation of the entire audience. I have said it before, and I shall say it again, Long Live The Morriston Phoenix Choir!

Comment: It was a great pleasure for my wife and I to hear the boys sing here in Fareham on St David's Day - yesterday.   As a Swansea boy, my young days were spent roaming Ravenhill Park & Cadle before Portmead and Blean-y-maes were built.   I remember meeting my dad as he finished his shift at Cadle colliery - it dates me.

The Phoenix may be a new choir but yesterday they upheld the reputation on not only Welsh choirs but those of our home town - Abertawe.   The singing was superb, great variety and it could be seen that they were enjoying what they were doing.  Your guest conductor was very good and your pianist, like the choir, out of the top drawer.

It was also a pleasure to speak to some of the supporters who travelled with the choir - they have great pride not only on what the choir are achieving but in that lovely, ugly town of ours.

One thing that stood out for me, My hearing is not the best as a result of Army Service, was the diction of the choir, it was as clear as a bell - fantastic.

I was disappointed to find that there was no recorded material of the choir for sale. I was told that you only have trial recording on Disc.   If you eventually record and I am sure you will and if you could let me have the costings it would be appreciated - I could then buy a couple of discs from you - one for y use and one for the Alabama Welsh Sciety US OF A.

Comment: Clive, Llinos and family would like to thank the members of the Morriston Phoenix Choir with their MD Sian Pearce and Accompanist Richard John for their contribution to the funeral service of Clives mother on Jan 12th at Aberdare. The friends and family that attended were very impressed by the sound and sincerity of the singing. Many thanks again
